Human Race Fact Sheet

The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for
non-profit organizations. The
Mendocino County Race features a 3k and 5K run and walk through the City of
Ukiah. Organizations and businesses
recruit walkers/ runners/ pledge gatherers to raise funds. Participating non-profit organizations
receive 75% of monies collected and the Volunteer Network receives the
remaining percentage to coordinate
and stage the event.

Run and Walk Route: Start
at Alex R. Thomas Plaza and then through the

beautiful neighborhoods
of Ukiah and back to Alex R. Thomas Plaza
|

Funds can be raised for any non-profit organization, school or
church in Mendocino County. The run and walk is open to all.

|
Each participating nonprofit organization must fill
out a Human Race Entry Form (included in this packet) and register with the
Volunteer Network. You will receive posters, post cards and pledge sheets and
all the how to instructions necessary to make this a successful event. Take advantage of the services offered and
the Training Sessions to learn how to
achieve your goals.

The Human
Race is a proven fundraiser that has been successful for Sonoma County non-profits
for 24 years and continues to grow. The Volunteer Network of Mendocino County provides marketing,
publicity, materials, and experienced assistance. Non-profits and businesses provide the
people power.
